About the Program

At NCAI, we believe in the transformative power of art in education and community building. Through our Educational Outreach Program, we aim to make contemporary art accessible to everyone by offering:

  • Interactive Gallery Tours: Tailored for school and community groups, offering in-depth exploration of contemporary art.

  • Educational Workbooks: Age-appropriate resources designed to spark discussions and creative activities.

  • Workshops: Interactive sessions focusing on creativity, art-making, and critical thinking.

  • Beyond-the-Gallery Programs: Collaborations with children’s art clubs, art centres, and community engagement initiatives to expand our impact beyond NCAI’s walls.

Notes on Friendship: Breaking Bread.  A collaboration between NCAI and SCCA Tamale (Ghana).

Notes on Friendship: Breaking Bread brings together a vibrant mix of artworks that explore connection, collaboration, and what it means to share space and ideas. With works spanning sound, sculpture, painting, drawing, video installations, and film, the exhibition offers a playful and thoughtful experience that young artists will find both accessible and inspiring.

Through our educational outreach program, schools, home learning groups, and families can book guided tours that encourage learners to slow down, look closely, and respond creatively. Each session includes age-appropriate activity sheets and optional sit-down discussions to deepen engagement with the artworks.

In June, we’ll host a special exploratory workshop for children aged 5 to 10 led by artist Jonathan Fraser. This session will give young participants a chance to experiment with mixed media and engage in hands-on artmaking inspired by the themes of the exhibition. Workshop dates will be announced soon via our social media platforms.

Booking is now open. We look forward to welcoming you.
