This activity invites participants to spend time with the catalog of books as objects first and foremost and as vessels of information.

About the event
Unlike a traditional book club, this one-day activity will focus on breadth rather than depth. Club members are tasked with browsing the shelves in pairs/trios for about 5 - 10 minutes before selecting titles for discussion. Each participant will then share with the group what drew them to their selections. This would vary from engaging titles, eye-catching designs, something previously read, one
looking forward to reading, etc.
The browsing, selection and discussion process will proceed for about 1.5 hrs, after which the selection of books will be documented and cleaned (as needed) and returned to their respective shelves.
