About the event

Tuesday 19th July 2022, TURN 2 curator-in-residence Nathalie Anguezomo Mba Bikoro will facilitate a performing archives workshop, “Rasha Will Dismantle the Master’s House: Revolt in the Archives.” Using materials from the Mohammed Amin Foundation and the Nairobi National Museum, Anguezomo proposes critical observations on relations between somatic body systems, recovery and archival research as tools to create systems/networks of empowerment notably on Black womens’ narratives in Kenya’s history. This workshop is open to artists, curators, researchers, writers, and makers in all mediums interested in working with archival materials. If interested please fill in the interest form in the bio by Friday 15th July at noon. Limited spots available. Image credit: We Charge Genocide. 2022. Anguezomo Mba Bikoro.
